Chicago Community and Workers Rights’ 10th Anniversary

Join us for our 10th annual dinner & celebration!

We are happy to celebrate our tenth anniversary!

This year we are honored to have Alma Anaya among us, commissioner of the 7th district of Cook County as our keynote speaker. We will also give special recognition to the Illinois Worker Cooperative Alliance for the work in supporting worker cooperatives.

Come and celebrate with us! The new cooperative law, the achievements of street vendors, the fight against fraud in the cleaning franchises, the campaigns with a diversity of groups of workers who have recovered their stolen wages, changed their working conditions and fought against unfair layoffs.

EL SALARIO MÍNIMO EN EL CONDADO DE COOK SERÁ DE $12.00

En el Condado de Cook el salario mínimo  aumentará a $12 por hora a partir del primero de Julio del 2019. El salario actual es $11.00 por hora. Es importante recordar que un gran número de  de ciudades que están dentro del Condado de Cook decidieron excluirse de esta ordenanza pero pueden cambiar su decisión en el futuro si así lo deciden sus gobiernos locales.
